Seattle Hit and Run Accident Results in Pedestrian's Death (11/15/09)

According to the Seattle Times, a 31-year-old Seattle man died at Harborview Medical Center after he was struck by a car Friday morning (10/09/09) near the James Street exit of Interstate 5.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the unidentified man was struck by a car leaving the freeway at James Street.

A Bremerton man driving behind the car that hit the pedestrian followed the vehicle as it re-entered the freeway and called 911. He described the make and model of the car and followed it until the vehicle was stopped by troopers.

The driver, a 45-year-old woman, was booked into jail for investigation of hit and run and drunken driving.
