Washington Motorists: Please Drive Carefully In Adverse Weather (11/19/09)
The Law Offices of Michael L. Jacobs would like to give a friendly reminder to all Washington State drivers to exercise caution and care when driving during this wet and windy November.
The following weekend weather update was posted on the KING5 News website on November 19, 2009:
Another round of heavy rain and gusty winds moved through western Washington overnight as a front moved through and then stalled just south of Puget Sound. This front is lifting back northward today giving us some steady rain on into early this afternoon. Winds have decreased. The front will continue to lift northwestward eventually taking most of the rain to the coast and north of Seattle later this afternoon. Winds will increase again during the afternoon but shouldn't be as strong as last night.
The cold front will move through western Washington early on Friday morning followed by numerous showers. Winds will decrease early in the day Friday for a calmer day. Snow levels in the Cascades may briefly rise to 4 to 5,000 feet early morning Friday but drop back to 2,000 feet by Friday afternoon with heavy snow showers. Yet another storm will push in on Saturday for increasing rain and wind once again . Sunday will give a little bit of a break with just a few showers and quite a few sunbreaks. Monday will bring more rainy and windy weather. However, it does look like Tuesday onward through Thanksgiving will see quieter weather with less rain and wind.
